This is a bull cart race. During the festival of village gods, this is conducted. A small cart drawn by a single bull or two bulls is used for this. Todas of Nilgiris use buffaloes instead of bulls. Those desirous of participating in the race should register their names with the Panchayat and pay an entry fee. There is no limit to the number of carts that can participate in one race. The person who wins the race is felicitated by the Panchayat.
