• Our trained team of volunteers and professional social workers will answer and assist round the clock.

• Any adult, individual or organisation - like schools, colleges, shops, clubs, offices, NGOs can help in locating or identifying a child in distress
• Just dial 1098. Describe the emergency and give clear instructions on locations.
• Childline has many trained volunteers who will contact the nearest centre to reach your spot in minimum time
• Tell your friends all about childline

• Childline reaches out to children or teenagers in need of help
• Children living alone in the street, child labourers and those engaged as domestic workers
• Children being violently abused even within their own families / neighbourhood
• Children being sexually exploited
• Children subjected to cruel treatment
• Children in need of medical/emergency help
• Children in need of educational guidance

A group of governmental and non-governmental organisations have joined together with trained volunteers to answer these emergency calls.

Depending on the nature of the emergency every call will be attended to by:
- Sending volunteers to reach the spot, assess the situation and help
- Giving moral support and counselling on the phone.
