Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Information Centre inside Meenakshi Sundareshwarar Temple

A visit to the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in the city need not end with a trip to one of the age-old shrines. In fact, it will lead to another of its kind, Lord Venkateswara Temple at Tirupati Tirumala in Andhra Pradhesh.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) operates an information centre inside the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple near the entry point on the eastern side. The centre gives information about the room service and various sevas and functions from 9 to 12 in the morning and from 4 to 8 in the evening.

Explaining the booking process, the in-charge, TTD Information Centre, says, "the devotee has to purchase a DD drawn in favour of the Executive Officer, TTD, and send it along with a letter to Peishkar, Sri TT, Tirumala at least one month in advance to book rooms, three months in advance for daily, weekly and periodical sevas and 5 years in advance for abishekam. For further information the devotees can call 2623066 (Madurai, TTD Information Centre), 08574-2279277 and 8574-2277777 Extn.: 3589 or 3679 (Tirumala, for Sevas), 08574-2277681 (Tirumala, for rooms) or 08574-2232813 (Tirumala, for general information). For more details, devotees can visit the website www.tirumala.org.

For online booking for sevas or accommodation, the devotees can access www.ttdsevaonline.com.

Pamphlets on the rates of various darshans and the number of members, who can attend it, are also distributed by the centre. Similarly, handbills on important temples to be visited in Tirupathi and the fares for package tours operated by the TTD locally are also available. They also carry 'dos and donts' to be followed in the shrine.

Apart from these, a magazine brought out by the TTD, Sapthagiri, both in English and Tamil, is available.
